Ok, this shirt is more yellow than grey. (Though I did say grey with colors is what I was going for!) I bought this fabric over six months ago at Mood when I was in New York, with the intention of recreating my ballet neck American Apparel rip off with cap sleeves. For once, my stash got used for its original purpose. I wore my new shirt out dancing at a warehouse party full of folks in DIY clothes. My only complaint was that it looked so much like ready to wear, it failed to garner any attention from my fellow DIY party people :).
In the end, I didn't do the best job of lining up the stripes, but even so, this is my new favorite t-shirt. I have a pearly grey one planned too as Spring palette #3, but I may go back to long sleeves for that one, and use bias binding to finish the edges.
Despite things being a little slow here in wearable toile land...there has been some movement on other things too.
I finished Cape mod a month ago, and have not been getting around to posting pictures of it- one of these days!
I have made moderate progress on my other spring plans... I have a class booked next week to figure out how to draft a waistband for my brocade skirt, because I've decided im not totally there yet in terms of doing it myself.
But, on the other hand, I also decided that I will never wear the grey dress I made a few weeks ago, so it might have to be unsewn, and turned into something else entirely.

boo.

OH! I love the colors. I'm a sucker for stripes. I'm always a bit pouty if something new is not noticed ;) You seem to be taking it better than I would!
