week's goals, and first featured photo in the blogosphere!

Yay! I got featured on grosgrain for my Tara scarf dress!!!

Also, finished the tie for my dad---pictures to come--my brother kindly filmed as I pulled a sewing all nighter AFTER my dad got to my house, but just in time for his birthday!

What's in the works for this week?

1. creating new sewing space in the midst of multiple houseguests...sounds like a plan has come together to help make this happen...after the guest dog ate TWO spools of perfetly coordinating thread (luckily after most of the required seams were done)from the last project, it became necessary to reclaim some space in my house.
2. put the zipper in that damn leopardprint marie
3. make a bag-Ive been avoiding it, because I hate handbags---but its supposed to be a good way to learn a lot of technique-like lining, zippers, etc, and I have all this damn home dec. ikea fabric I dont know what to do with...
4. sew this fab ballet neck tshirt- I copied the pattern from a favorite American Apparel T-if I get this one right, I'll make all my own tshirts from now on!
5. Cut out the grey pencil skirt from Diana Rupp's S.E.W. pattern, with the addition of lining)Or do another bias skirt- this time in wool, with lining.
6. Decide whether this plaid yellow tablecloth should become either Simplicity 3858,

. I did the tunic length with the wrist ties- the next one might be the mid length on the sleeves, and with pockets(on a bias?).

or the Burda Frock By Friday shirtdress.

(in which case, I may need contasting fabric.) What do y'all think? I need votes-send me comments. I'll post the fabric soon.
