Peacock costume half complete!

Yay! I finished most of my halloween costume, and It looks fab. I turned a long broomstick/style skirt into the pants part of my costume, then attached it to a halter I bought in Dolores park from some other home sewers. (they had tons of these excellent tops, and I chose this green one based on their confirmation that it was the most "dub-step." It was pretty thrilling making a pair of pants out of a skirt for the first time. and easy, loose fitting pair, no doubt, but I did it all by hand, with no pattern, based on my memory of threadbanger tutorials and random guesswork. sewed on feathers, and voila! I think that in the interests of time (and comfort), I'm going to repurpose an old sweater rather than making a shrug from scratch. I'm going to add purple ruffles form this glorious but non-fast dyed cloth:

but not sure how to add sequin fabric yet... still thinking on it....

Didn't get anywhere else with coat. Cut out sleeves, thats it. I think coat is being relegated to post halloween, along with JJ and FBF projects.
