So, for those who have been following this massive declutter, I have been too...and jumped on a chance!
What can I say- so much better than taking a craigslist gamble, or being a sprawlmart supporter, or shipping something that big all the way from California....
Peter kindly let me purchase from afar, and kept my secret about what it was that was going to be picked up. Not only did I get to help this notorious vintage sewing machine hoarder take his first step towards decluttering,
One lovely lady (who actually has helped many a struggling New Yorker with decluttering, including yours truly) was in for a surprise!

you might recognize her from past costume adventures---such as:

or more notably:

Look at all those layers of tulle! and all without a sewing machine of her own! Well now, darling, you're on your way to bigger and badder things, If I do say so myself:)
Disclaimer: this is largely a selfish act in my effort to make more sewing friends- one tactic is to make more friends, the other is to make more sewers! Both might produce satisfying outcomes for all invovled. ALSO, I got to visit one of my favorite bloggers vicariously. Not bad, eh?

not bad at all... excited to see the results of all the bi-coastal sewing!
