Week goals!

My costume was a smashing success....but the pictures are yet to be uploaded, despite promises to the contrary by DBF... I even ran into two other peacocks while dancing in the sunshine in a traveling techno party-picnic!

but because one costume is never enough for one halloween...

Today will be spent on a day of the dead, 19th century mexican ghost for the parade tomorrow in the mission. I'm going to layer all the black skirts I have, and bust out some black stretch lace in the stash... as well as two white peacock feathers that somehow were in the original feather windfall. Its amazing how much more can be done with a little sewing know how, and an eclectic wardrobe--this costume won't cost me a dime.

Other goals for this week:

1. finish that lady grey muslin (sleeves, collar, lapel adjustment, etc.) and cut out the shell (maybe also cute out the interfacing and sew together part of the shell??)

and

2. finish those damn short pants of Diana rupp's I cut out all those months ago. (if I can find the peices.) I may give myself a three month time limit on projects next year, to avoid this kind of thing.

If im feeling ambitious this weekend,
3. sew together the bodice of the JJ blouse. (leave collar, cuffs, and buttons for later.)

4. maybe tack on a super easy project, like:
linen loungy pants, boxers for geoff or a refashion.

In other sewing news...I got into a draping and pattern drafting class! finally ! after a year of trying. great things to come, next week, I can feel it!
